Why Yaya Yoga?

Yaya Yoga was founded by Patrick, a guy passionate about yoga to bring people together and cultivate spaces where folks can express themselves authentically.

Yaya refers to Svadhyaya, one of the five Niyamas, or ethical observances, from Patanjali’s Yoga Sutras. It centers on non-judgmental introspection and self-study of one’s thoughts, emotions, needs, and behaviors to grow into one’s true self. Svadhyaya resonated with Patrick because he’s been able to deeply learn about himself over the course of his ongoing yoga journey.

Through Yaya Yoga, Patrick strives to provide people opportunities to further discover themselves, grow, and create community.

With gratitude to the generations of teachers who came before him and shared their wisdom, Patrick acknowledges the spiritual and cultural roots of yoga in South Asia.
